Command Line Tool to Convert Videos From One Format to Another

If you ever wanted to convert videos from one format to another in Bulk or using Commandline Format Factory can make it possible.

Download Format Factory and install it from the following link:

http://www.pcfreetime.com/formatfactory/index.php?language=en

Once you have installed it open command-line prompt and type the following command:

"c:\Program Files (x86)\FormatFactory\FormatFactory.exe"  "-> MP4" "DIVX High quality and size" "Z:\Temp\CCTV\Raw\2018-05-18" "Z:\Temp\CCTV\Raw\2018-05-18" [/hide]

Make sure after you copy and paste the double quotes are correct ".

Do not forget to change the format or the name of the profile. Both of which you can find within Format Factory.

Change the source path of the files and the destination path. You can keep both source and destination as one.

After you have successfully executed the command with the correct syntax, the files will start converting to the new format.

If for any reason nothing works, you can always save the profile with a new name like Arvind in the below example and use that instead of the built in MP4 or AVI profiles.

"c:\Program Files (x86)\FormatFactory\FormatFactory.exe" "Custom" "Arvind" "Z:\Temp\CCTV\Raw\2018-05-18" "Z:\Temp\CCTV\Raw\2018-05-18" [/hide]

Google Hindi Typing Tool Download - Windows

Google had a wonderful tool to type in Hindi fonts in Windows. Today when I went online to check the new version of the tool I found that it is no longer there. Google has replaced it with their onscreen or in-app (Chrome) tools.

Luckily for me I still have the older version which works perfectly on Windows 7 & 10 without any issues. I would like to share the tool with you so that you can also make use of it as needed. Feel free to leave a comment below if you liked it.

Screenshots of the Tool

Select the keyboard shortcut of Alt+Shift key together to switch between English & Hindi.

Launch any app and start typing in English to see that written in Hindi.

Google Hindi Input Version 1.0.4.0

The language options are on the bottom right side of the screen just next and above the date and time.

Use this 1 minute trick you can hibernate or put your computer to sleep after any number of minutes.

Just change 3600 to any number of seconds you would like it to hibernate. For Example for 2 hours use this formula:

2 hours * 60 seconds * 60 mins = 7200 seconds (or 2 hours)

This trick can be helpful when you wish to put your computer to sleep / hibernation after the download or upload has finished or some processing is finished.

Skip Google Search, Reach Out to Results Faster

How many times has it happened to you that you need to go to a website of an airline or bank or something which you visit often but you end up doing a google search for it and then clicking on the very first link and then visiting it. Since you don't visit it that often you dont have it on your bookmarks or favourites.

You can save that click time by changing the default search URL to the I'm feeling Luck URL which will take you to the website directly.

Open Chrome > Go to Settings (or click here chrome://settings/)

Click on Manage Search Engine Option

It will open a whole bunch of search engines which Google has created.

Edit any item which you don’t use like Yahoo Search etc.

Type gd in first and 2nd box and past the following URL in the URL section -

http://www.google.co.in/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%s
Click OK

Now you can go back to Google Chrome and just type gd <space> and the thing you are searching like Post Office or American Airlines etc. and the website will open up.

You can change gd to any keyword which you can remember. If you have to genuinely go a search just don’t type the keyword and simply do a google search instead.

Just like Google you can also use DuckDuckGo for getting to the website faster. It also has a similar feature as that of Google where it opens the first search result as an output.

I have shown the same as an example in the above screenshot with the keyword d

Below is the URL which you can paste in the URL box for DuckDuckGo -

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=!ducky+%s
Now when you need to use DuckDuckGo as your search provider just type d in front of the searched text and if you want to use Google for your search result then type gd or any other keyword which you selected.

Enjoy the time you saved and this setting will carry forward to next time you install Google Chrome because the search engines gets stored and carry forwarded to the next time you login and sync your bookmarks.

Let me know if anyone wants to see the same thing happening for Firefox as well.
